General Requirements for Professionals

Pre-requisites for employment with UNFPA generally include an advanced degree in a study pertinent to the Fund’s mandate (for example, in demography, public health or gender studies), as well as some experience in a developing country, preferably with a development organization.

Fluency in English is required; speaking and reading ability in one other United Nations language, preferably French or Spanish is desirable.
