ICPD30: Celebrating Milestones, Inspiring Action

2024 marks 30 years since the adoption of one of the milestones of multilateralism, the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD). This is cause for celebration of all the achievements made possible by the ICPD agenda since 1994. It also comes at a time of great polarization on many issues that are fundamental to the agenda - including the need to advance in realizing sexual and reproductive health and rights as an integral part of development.

Building an equitable future through women-centric innovations: Introducing the Equity 2030 Alliance

The theme for this year’s 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly is “Rebuilding trust and reigniting global solidarity: Accelerating action on the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals towards peace, prosperity, progress, and sustainability for all”. It is preceded by the 2023 Sustainable Development Goals Summit, which will mark the beginning of a new phase of accelerated progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals with high-level political guidance on transformative and accelerated actions leading up to 2030.

International Day for People of African Descent
